How I did it: Just kept running!! I signed up for this race in January with my friend and I decided that since I was running so much that I wanted to make a goal for myself that I knew would be hard, but able to achieve. Read how I did it…
How I did it: After I was given a leave of absence from res life staff - I was told that I couldn't come back, even though I knew I deserved to be back. I went in to see administration for 3 months every week it seemed to fight for my way back. After weeks of disappointment and given every reason to not go back - I received an e-mail saying that I would be able to return for next semester. I don't know who said what or if it was because of me sticking … Read how I did it…
How I did it: When my family decided that we were going to be going on vacation in the summer, I decided that I wanted to get in shape so that I would be able to feel good about myself wearing a bathing suit and what not. I figured the best thing other than working out and eating healthier would be to get rid of extra sugars that I just didn't need. That's why I decided to just drink water. I wanted to see if I could give up juices, and alcohol for one… Read how I did it…

While at the Gap … I had the urge to try on a pair of jeans. I did not look at the 10’s like I usually would … I went for the 8’s. I tried them on and thought to myself …hmmm these fit nicely, but they are a tad loose. I put everything on hold and then I saw jeans that were on sale. I picked up the 6’s and the pair of 8’s that I knew would fit. I put on the 6’s and they buttoned with no problems! I started jumping up and down in the fitting room I was so happy. Sooo I finally have a size 6 pair of jeans. I do not care if they are the biggest size 6’s around – they fit me! That gave me soo much more motivation to keep working out and eating right – obviously something is working!
So far I do not miss fast food at all. I am looking toward the future and I do not mind that my friends are all making fun of me when we go out to fast food places and I do not get anything. It makes me feel very disciplined and happy! A lot of my friends say – oh I can NEVER do that, but either did I until I started and now I have no urges to even go.
