yikes! reality hits... 1 month ago

I am not a big reader, and I am quickly coming to terms with that. I know that doing what I’ve been doing just won’t suffice anymore. After some lackluster quiz grades and a barely-passing first midterm score, I know I have to do this. I am going to read chapter 8 tonight and then read chapter 9 tomorrow night (BEFORE chapter 9 is covered in class on Wednesday). I will take notes before class.

grow my own garden
ACK! Plants are outgrowing pots! 1 month ago

I want my own garden, but that will have to wait until I have my own house and land. I’m growing this weird, flat cactus thing which has grown monstrously huge since I got a cutting of it from my friend’s garden, and I got a night-blooming jasmine plant for my birthday a few months ago. They’re outgrowing their pots and the jasmine tends to grow some kind of weird whitish fungus-like thing on its outermost branches if they grow past a certain length. I should look into that. Also, my parents suck at taking care of plants so I decided to take over two pots of flowers they were growing.

own my own tea house
working at one... 17 months ago

... and the management could use some suggestions—many of which i have already drawn up. i’m still a trainee though, so i need to gain some ground before i mention anything. in the meantime, i am passing off my suggestions to an experienced coworker who can bring this to the owner’s attention. efficiency is great, but NOT at the cost of public image or customer satisfaction.

one of these days, i will have to buy the place out and show him how it’s done!
