21. I used to be a hoarder. I would keep things because they were sentimental or because one day I might need them. I kept so many things that I had them in boxes and piles and I didn’t even know half of the things I had.. nor did I use them. I watch the show “Hoarders” (on A&E) now and realize how blessed I am that I was able to tackle the issue long before it ever got to that point.
22. I love professional wrestling, and have been a fan since I was eight years old.
23. I collect cat figurines. Because of my past issues with hoarding, I have to be careful not to buy just ANYTHING with a cat on it. I have learned to my purge my collection once in awhile so that I keep my favorites and let the others go to new homes.

I have been wanting to get a tattoo for awhile to remind me of my Buddhist practice. I finally got the tattoo last week and in only a week can see such a difference in my practice. Having a constant visual reminder has been SO helpful, most especially when practicing compassion. And so I recommend it highly to anyone who has thought about such a visual reminder themselves. I’ll post a picture at a later date.

I have been a lot more successful at learning compassion since I’ve been involved in a 12-step group. The spiritual foundation of 12-step is anonymity. Anonymity teaches that we are all equal. It has been sobering, humbling and extremely difficult; but HIGHLY rewarding.
