Ultra-über-yaying! It looks like the longest goal I’ve achieved (in terms of when it came true minus wen I started aiming to get it). 2 years, 7 months, 9 days—take that, lack of self-determination!
If I understand my academic regulations completely, I should get something like 72% overall, with a 80% mark for my third year reseacrh projcet (mistyping to avoid googling).
Oh YAY, happy me! It’s definitely worth it, if you consider the sheer pleasure of achieving a long-term goal that will srve you for the rest of your (employed) life.
Thanks to the eternal and tireless supporters, as well!! ;)

... and meanwhile: relaxation, travel, reading, sipping iced teas on terraces, and no thinking. (Ok, or very little.)

that I wrote my first entry on this goal.
I’m pretty near—it’s gonna be over just tomorrow, in fact. It’s my very-last-ultimate-this-one-is-the-one deadline, and it’s tomorrow. I haz degree tomorrow. Well, not technically, I’ll only get the results on the 2nd July.
But hey, one thing hasn’t changed in over two years: I’M DAMN PROCRASTINATING HERE, on the very last night of my degree.
Ok. Last essay. Been accepted at a great university for an MA next year. I’ll likely get a 1:1 in July, or so I hope.
Self-talk: Move. your. ass. now!

... that each of them will have a perfectly valid reason, such as “I’m sure he’s cheating on me”, or “Plz help me hack her Myspace OMGWTF!!!!!11”.
This amazes me.

That mainly resulted in chaos, but I hope my CDs reached some of their targets…

There was nothing to grasp, no Whole Stuff to handle. Just life to be lived. And that’s reassuring.

I just created this challenge now. As I’m procrastinating while I’m writing an essay. Dear, dear irony.

Green, but über-yummy.
30-45 min. cooking
Serves, eeer, two, or four, can’t remember. What I remember though is “dammit, I already ate it all!”
- 1kg Green peas (can be frozen)
- Half a lettuce
- A bunch of mint (7-8 big branches)
- A hand mixer with the thing on the right side
- Green peas, rinsed lettuce and 30cl water -> big pot, heat at 50%, cover, and leave for 30 minutes.
- Add the rinsed mint leaves, and mix.
- You’re done! Serve hot, and keep the cream at hand to either sweeten the soup and/or make shapes in it.
If the point isn’t to force your kids to eat vegetables but to serve good-looking, seemingly elaborate appetizers at a party, you can:
- Fill glasses with the soup, and top with chopped coriander.
- Put in the fridge, or freezer if you’re in a hurry.
- Before serving cold, top with a bit of parmesan, and serve with a teaspoon in it. Ooooh!

At last!
My resuming 43 made me stop by a lovely library in Strasbourg today, in order to start reading some Seneca.
After five confused minutes from the librarians who were three to ask me “You want Advice to start reading Seneca? We don’t have that…” “Nooo, I want your advice to start reading Seneca!”
Duh.
First thing done (register it on LibraryThing, of course), I can eventually get to it. Thanks 43!

I definitely need to do something creative, but it won’t be painting. I don’t find it interesting, and my relationship with graphic art amounts to “I really don’t get the point”.
However, I did have a enjoy looking at Rob Gonsalves’ paintings, they are sublime! Links, links, links!

I told myself I wouldn’t come here, I’ve got work and everything… If I start I’ll get stuck, all that stuff.
I’ve got 4 essays, the Education studies one is done, and I’ve still got two Philosophy essays and one Linguistics essay. That’s 6,500 words in 7 days. It’s highly doable.
But honestly, I can’t fathom whether “For.mal log.ic is useful in addressing philo.sophical issues” or not, nor say whether “Loc.ke’s att.ack on the doc.trine of inna.te ideas is successful” or not.
GRBLEUH!
Right. Now I wasn’t even here. But I’ll be back. And thanks for all your cheers for the last 2 months! :)
(The dots, because the last thing I need is my tutors stumbling on my 43T account by googling their essay topics to hunt down plagiarism…)

70% in Education studies (essay on gender id. and sexual orientations in high schools), 66% in Epistemology (Descartes), and 61% with an incomplete essay on Hume and miracles.
Of course, there’s stuff to be happy about. I’m happy about the grades for sure, but not about my attitude, which merely consisted in doing just average, or in other words, as little as possible.
Being dishonest to myself, I could say “Oh well, grades are what I’m asked for, I got pretty good ones, sod that”, but I’ve been doing that for too long a time, and now I’m thinking that my grades are averagely good, and my attitude-towards-studies grade hardly gets a “Pass”.
