How I did it: i got a 2nd job at a wine bar and read more about it on the clock- now i know some things.plus, it doesn't hurt to have a friend that's schooling to be a sommelier.one thing that does suck though is that at my wine bar, we have all these artisan cheeses that i can't eat. but, then again, i don't necessarily feel inclined to. one of the reasons MUST be that we don’t have cable at home. but, either way, i’m glad kinda. aside from the fact that it’s a little pricey. i mean, i can get the jist of the daily news online when i’m here at work. do it. it’s just as cool and good for your brain as it was when reading rainbow was still trendy. (I LOVE YOU LEVAR.. EVEN THOUGH YOU LOOKED LIKE YOU HAD A HEADBAND OVER YOUR EYES IN STAR TREK!!)
i totally used to run around the house with my headband over my eyes like that.. all frilly and pink.. shietttt.
[;but then again, there’s a saying that goes “attaining goals is like hiking up a mountain of sand- if you slip, keep going, and eventually you’ll get to the top”. i slipped on sand when i got home exhausted after a 10hr day and was completely unwilling to partake in any physical activity whatsoever (poor gf.. she wanted to do some “light reading”). ah well. today i have a 12hr day.. but i AM working out when i get home. i intend to bike for a few miles of pacific coast hwy.
and then probably drink.. but still! it’ll be light alcohol! and on an empty stomach so it works quicker!
damn i miss partying sometimes.
