Six months ago my wife turns to me and says,”alright, something is wrong, we sell foam mattress which have petrochemicals in them. We need to change, its not right.” It motivated me, I got focused! We have now installed 96 solar panels on the roof of our retail store which reduces 20 tons of co2 each year! We are launching a line of organ latex mattress and our line of memory foam mattress are no longer made with foams that contain PBDE’s. We will convert in the next few months our entire line of platform beds to FSC certified products. I’m feeling better already!

Every day when I get to work, I’m the boss, I sit down and say. Alright, stay focused, work on the stuff that counts. I then turn on my computer, check my email, and its all downhill till I smack myself. I’ve got to do the things that will really make a difference. I need to improve our line of latex mattress. I need to replace some of the obsolute platform beds we are selling and can no longer get. I need to work on the flame barriers for our cushions. I need to pass testing standards for our memory foam mattress. But I never get to those things. Instead I speak to an employee, problem solve a situation, etc. And sales stay the same. UGH! I need to slap myself again, right now!

(I’m in the contemporary bedroom furniture and natural latex mattress business.
While I was there I stopped and checked out some factories on the side of the road that are all over the place. I wanted to see some beds as we sell a lot of beds in our business. I was hoping to find a factory to make some furniture lines for me and I did. You can see the entire line here platform beds We even designed the cool one in the photo displayed. Anyways I found two factories. One made really good stuff for a fair price and the other was a lot less expensive but we had a few problems with the wood splitting. Anyways after we placed our orders we hired local interior decorators and photographers which did these pictures. We were hoping for a line of bedroom furniture and I think we got it. It was fun but I don’t recommend ordering container qty from side of the road factories. We sort of got lucky.

Many of my friends have traveled to Thailand. That’s next on my agenda.
