Where can I donate clothes to be distributed to Padang? I have approximately 10kg of clothes I want to donate. I’m serious, I kid you not!
I’ve been working in a different province for around a month and I couldn’t gather my clothes to donate. But now I can. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Went out to two places (http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=100573307877&ref=mf). So much fun! Initially planned at a hotel down the embassy strip/Grand Indonesia, but we relocated to more low-profile venues due to the recent bombings in Jakarta. Caught up and had loads of fun while some of us are in Indonesia for summer break!
I also went to Idaho to attend my friends’ (from grad school) wedding earlier this year!

I wanted to emigrate because I felt like I was stuck among people who don’t accept me for who I am and it made me sad. As a former TCK I am naturally different… from everyone. The best I can do about it is to be around open-minded people.
If I can keep getting jobs in international environments (anywhere in the world, incl. Indonesia) I wont have to keep wanting to emigrate. Because all I wanted was to be around people who understand me. Otherwise, I am out of here. I know I have the basic right to be happy.

Negeri van Oranje is a semi-memoir some of my friends wrote together on living as Indonesian scholarship students in the Netherlands. It’s pretty cool and was just launched last night. Go read it because I say so and my word is law.

I just got back from my US West Coast + East Asia trip. Met friends and wandered around exploring on my own when my friends were busy. Took pictures of interesting things. Ate awesome food. Danced to Russian music. Had loads of fun.
Thinking of having a seperate ‘travel budget’ so I can travel at least once a year. I am exhausted, though. And I need to start working soon.
