How I did it: i had been saving for a while but had no immediate plan to buy a house. by chance i happened upon a house i wanted in an area i liked at an affordable rate. i contacted the estate agent to view; brought my dad (he's a builder) for a 2nd opinion to the viewing and made an offer for well below the asking price they (unexpectedly!) accepted so from there i passed over the deposit; checked out mortgages online and contacted banks with best of… Read how I did it…

i’ve been thinking about buying a house for a while but had not seriously looked around. then out of nowhere just last week the type of house in the type of place for the type of money i can afford came up for sale! so i went to a viewing on saturday and i made an offer on monday and they accepted it yesterday! now i have to try sort out the mortgage and legal stuff – which is shaping up to be a big headache! wish me luck!
