I'm doing 11 things
Me and my 2 bros. went to Spain in the summer of ‘03 to find our roots. We road tripped from Barcelona to Oviedo and back to Barcelona. We stopped on instinct. We had no pressure to reach anywhere at a quick pace so there was no real hurry. We stopped to rest at hostels/refugios and were just about as sponteaneous as allowable. We drove through the Picos de Europa and decided to try to climb as much of it as we could. When we learned that there was a refugio at the top of the first mountain we decided that we would spend the night and climb back down the following day. Now, when I say “climb” I don’t mean rock-climbing… there was a trail going up the mountain. Still, one had to be careful where they stepped as there were many unstable rocks along the path where one slip could mean a nasty fall to the death. We accomplished our goal and would’ve like to go even farther, but we didn’t have the equipment and were unprepared so we decided to save it for the next visit (hopefully summer of ‘07). We look forward to tackling this goal. BEAUTIFUL TRIP!!

I was glad to have been able to return from Iraq alive. Defenitely a place I would LOVE to go back and visit when it stabalizes. Without the terrorism and the destabalization it is currently teeming with it would be a great vacation/backpacker spot. Unfortunately I was too concentrated on staying alive than the tourist scenery. Anyway, I am glad to finally be able to check this off my list. The year has been too long for me and I look forward to travelling with much of the money I’ve been able to save-up from my tour in Iraq.
