How I did it: i did nothing. i literally did nothing to create this to happen. one Fall day in september, 1989 to be exact, i walked into my very first public high school class- English IA. i glanced to my right where i noticed a guy staring at me. i remember thinking to myself, "yeah, i gotta stay away from him! he looks like he's on somethin, and he's gotta be nothing but trouble!"i was so right.we didn't speak much- in fact, i can't recall ever sayi… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I finally walked into my laundry room (which is first floor, so really, this shouldn't have been complicated!) and just made it my goal to do at least ONE load a day. I'm now caught up with my laundry and have been for over a month! A WHOLE MONTH! This is such a huge thing for me...as I've never been caught up longer than a few days or even a week! I'm much happier and now I feel satisfaction that I can do this...and it hasn't taken over … Read how I did it…
How I did it: i was 15. it was christmastime. the guy was a good friend of mine in one of my classes at school. it was his first time too, so we didn't learn much from each other (positions, feelings, etc.) we were very classy by doing it in my grandparent's basement while they fell asleep watching christmas shows on tv. the whole experience was one big awful mistake. It’s been a long time since I was first diagnosed. For so long, I felt that I was all alone and that people knew I was taking medication. I stopped taking my meds frequently because, well, in my mind, I thought I was better and I didn’t need to take medicine to be “normal”. Now I know that this is just a part of life. One I don’t have to be ashamed of anymore. Some people take diet pills, some take blood pressure meds….me, I need to take my anti-depression pills. It’s just what I have to do…and when my son notices that I’m better…I feel good for remembering to take it that day. Keep all hope alive that one day, you too will beat depression….it’s an ongoing battle, but a battle that’s totally worth the fight!!
Oh you people who have 3 or 4 loads make me laugh at you wholeheartedly! What?!? ONLY 3 or 4 loads?
Listen here, Bub… there are only 3 of us in my little famn damily, and I CAN STILL fill up 12 loads at the laundrymat. And, if you must know….the attendant, well, I’m pretty sure she does not like this AT ALL. I’ve never heard a word from her, but her eyes tell me that she WILL NOT unstick my quarter, nor will she help me open the door for my last load as she’s turning off the lights…
The worst part? So, maybe you think I have that many loads because I just can’t get to the laundrymat often enough, huh? Well, you’d be wrong. I have FIRST FLOOR LAUNDRY FACILITIES here people, and yet, I’m just too lazy most of the time to just put in a load…that, and of course, we have a cat & a dog, and there’s hair everywhere…so if I don’t put it away quick enough, (*note to self: this could be another problem) it now needs REWASHED because there is more hair on the item of clothing than on the dog.
Whew! Just heard the buzzer….IT’S FOLDING TIME!
