How I did it: I started slow. I lent only $25 per month. But slowly the loans get repaid and you are able to lend the same money over and over, I've helped people from all over the world; from Peru to the Ukraine - from Togo to the US (and every where in between. 32 different countries and counting. I visited Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Albania. Great time!! That makes 21 countries that I’ve been to.
When I started this goal, KIVA offered loans to 56 different countries. But not every country is up for a loan all the time. So I had to wait until each country had a loan. I believe there are still countries that I have not loaned to but I will do those in time. Check out www.kiva.org
