I actually read this at the beginning of the year (I had an entire honors seminar devote to P&P) but I forgot it was on this list! I absolutely loved it, though I think it’s interesting how Austen’s novels all feature very similar themes (esp. similarities between P&P and S&S). I love her writing though, she’s hilarious and witty and Mr. Darcy is a gentleman in every sense of the word. ;)

How I did it: The community colleges in WA state have a consortium called WCCSA that does a partnership with AIFS study abroad programs. My professor was signed up to teach in Florence and since I had so much fun in his class I began looking into how I would join the program. I was really pushing the deadlines but I managed it anyway and I am so thankful it all worked out. I had some of the best weeks of my life in Italy. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Since Italy has such an extensive train system I decided to take advantage of that while I am here. I researched schedules and prices once I had a few destinations in mind and ended up heading down to Follonica from Firenze, which required a change at Pisa. I think trains are my new favorite mode of travel! I didn't have to worry about traffic and I didn't feel ill like I usually do after a few hours in a car or bus. You get to… Read how I did it…
How I did it: It took a couple of drinks and being in another country but I did it. I made sure to have a partner and we sant a fun song we both knew. It was fun and I'd do it again but nothing amazing. Just another check off the list I guess. Read how I did it…
