How I did it: I was actually going to Prague, but the tickets to London were cheaper...Just bought the ticket, didn't have time to plan much. But it didn't really matter, since all the major sights were really close. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Knitting the thumb was a real pain in the ass as I didn't understand any of the instructions I found online. I had help from a friend and finally we figured out how to do it by trial and error. The thumb turned out pretty ugly at first so I had to redo it three times, but practice makes perfect...Took me two nights, one night per mitten. How I did it: I did a simple ribbed hat / beanie. I didn't have a pattern so I used an old hat for measurement.I already knew have to do knit and purl stitches so the only hard part was the decreasing at the top. I googled and found a couple of online forums which helped me alot.
