Ok, so obviously this would be fun beyond belief. I mean, how cool would it be to just forget about the life society expects of you, pick up a backpack, and see what’s out there. I don’t want to be just another byproduct of my culture. I’m seventeen, and soon I will be at the height of opportunity and adventure in my life. I don’t want to waste it in a college lecture hall just to find a stable job, settle down with a family, and then go on a cruise once a year to “see the World”.
I mean, for a Man (and I mean all of humanity, I am far from sexist. I just feel that the simple word Man, brings with a more powerful aesthetic appeal than saying “people” or “humanity” does; the word is short but almost angelic, at least to me, perhaps I’m crazy though).
Ok, so where was I? Oh, right—for a Man to know how to lead his country, he must see how others lead theirs. Going backpacking around the World for me would be more of a pilgrimage than a fun vacation. I mean, sure I would have the time of my life, but an underlying intellectual reason for my travels would be ever present. At anycase, it would be incredible to take a year or so off, just out of high school and do this, although quite unrealistic. What mother, might I ask, would feel alright sending her kid, still naive and childlike, on a crazy and dangerous expedition to all seven continents? However, given the fact that I’m writing this, maybe I am mature enough. Sure the World is dangerous, but it is also beautiful, and Mankind has much to benefit from people who gain knowledge.
My chief wanting would be to finish by book, or my works in general really. I’ve been plugging away on a story that details the creation of the Universe from a scientific standpoint, however, another primary goal has been to create an ideal culture. Seeing various ones would help greatly-well, actually beyond belief, with this. I would also like to invent a language, New Latin, for my book, which I would say is the international tongue of the future in my fantasy World. Anyway, you all can read up more about that in the section on my book (which is not up yet-but it will be soon). Right now I’ll keep on dreaming, and perhaps some will come true with a little persistence.
