I haven’t made any progress on reading these this year. I’m going to push the goal to 2010 so I’m not fighting with an unusual reading volume already from reading 100 books this year.

How I did it: I took two days off from all exercise (unintentionally) and when I did it this morning I focussed a lot more than usual. I was determined not to let my feet touch and probably used a bit more strength to stay balanced because of it. Every time I even started to move back I muscled my way back to balance. How I did it: I did 60 seconds of elapsed frog stand in as few sets as possible 2-4 times a week. I tried to pick a duration that I could sustain for all of my sets in a row on a 1 minute interval. Early on, this meant 10 seconds of frog stand out of every 60 seconds taking just over 5 minutes to complete. After I could do 30 seconds, I just tried to increase the length of my first set as much as possible and then did the second set for as long as I… Read how I did it…

I made up for the short month in May with a very long month in June.
I know I read many of the Hardy Boys books when I was 10 or so but I can’t say I’m a real fan now.
James White’s Sector General stories and novels are awesome and I’m enjoying re-reading them after 15+ years.
I started the Charlaine Harris vampire books when I decided to watch HBO’s True Blood. So far, the books are better than the show.

I spent a significant portion of this month reading a couple of computer books for work. I haven’t finished any of them yet but they put me behind this month and I have some ground to make up.
