How to visit california

giddy!

How I did it: Got tickets for amtrak. Took a vacation. Visited my friends. Flew out of NYC, and had $250 tickets. Flew into San Francisco and bummed around for a few days, visited long beach, etc. And then took the public transportation to the Amtrak terminal. Took the day-long railroad, and saw the West like I"d never ever seen it before. It was beautiful. Flew home, and had a camera full of used film, and some new smile lines creasing my cheeks. How to move to New York

How I did it: I looked for apartments in the newspaper (no luck) and craigslist (full of scammers! no luck) and finally walked around a neighborhood I heard was reasonably priced in Manhattan. I applied to go to school again, got in (all that before the move) and had a general "plan of action" and about $10,000 saved between me & my partner. You seriously need at least $4,500 to get into an apartment at all here, plus a little bit of extra to help … Read how I did it…

I've written zines for about 10 years now 2 years ago

and I’d be happy to share some advice. I have a zine that’s being distributed by Microcosm Publishing right now, and hands down, I’d say choose a topic you want to stick to, and don’t be afraid to edit your work to it’s core. Like take out the unnecessary things and double and triple-check your spelling and grammar.

I did this! 2 years ago

I even freehanded my design. I wanted to spice up a little clutch I made from felt and decided, why not? So I did it. And I’m happy about the results and am hunting around for more stuff to embroider.
