I love how quiet and peaceful the middle of the night is. It’s like my favorite and best time to be alone- nobody to bother me, nobody in my business, just me and my feelings and thoughts- I’ve written some great late night poetry! That’s why going to bed at 3 or 4am is so nice to me. I fall asleep immediately.
But my body wants to wake up at around noon when I do that, and I don’t like not getting to see any of the morning. Right now, of course, is my Christmas break, and I can sleep as I want. But that just doesn’t suit a college student with 8 and 9am classes. Also, I know that many aspects of my health and daily life have to do with my sleep- my daily energy, my motivation, my ability to be productive, my immune system.
I haven’t seen the pillows and sheets before midnight in what seems like years. This sucks, but it’s what I have to do.
