Being born into an era defines a person. Everything that person does moves him further away from that essence. I think a person dies to himself - his will - so as to rediscover this essential nature. For example, I was born in the 60s. Everyone else thought of me as a “hippie”. But I didn’t see it that way. I defined myself based on what was going on in my teen years, music etc. Then, I redefined myself so as to become a part of the rap culture. In doing so, I came to dislike hair bands. And when I rediscovered my past (without rock), I also came to see myself in terms of 60s music… also thanks to Eminem’s “Stimulate”. So now I’m a longhair rapper?

How I did it: Focus on contexts and topics: This is the basis of the system and a shortcut to processing thoughts. Review. Reaffirm. Resolve. Gather thoughts early in the morning and refine the system as you process those thoughts. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I wanted this to be a big deal. But volunteering is volunteering. And the point is to actually mark things off my list -- not to keep doing the same things while being dis-satisfied with the results. I'd thought this would involve finding an organization and putting in volunteer hours over a period of weeks, months, or years. I might still do that. But it seems important to note that there are "volunteer" opp… Read how I did it…
How I did it: This stupid webpage requires that I add more information even though I already said everything I need to say about this topic and even though I don't have time to write a thesis about this topic right now. Research it online. Find videos. Follow along the instructions. If 43 things doesn't change their policies, I'll find a different website to keep track of my goals! Read how I did it…

I can only do one thing at a time. I start trying to do too many things at once. Then, I have to focus on what I’m doing. Things stack up and I get confused. Sometimes, I write down what else I meant to do. Sometimes I forget. I find reviewing what I did today helpful (30 minutes of quiet time before bed, prayer). But sometimes I skip. I also review what I did “yesterday” each morning. Scheduling doesn’t work / timing takes precedence. Seems prioritizing is the next step.
What do you want to accomplish? And I understood this to mean: What is so important that after accomplishing it, I could die peacefully. And since I didn’t want to die, I chose something “impossible”: Create a time machine. And I realized that if I had a time machine, I wouldn’t have to die after all. I could go back in time and save myself or simply go back to a time when I was still alive.
