im glad that there are others doing the same thing.
it is SO liberating. so much of it is about why you keep stuff… ’ just in case’... when the reality is you really use 20% of your stuff almost 80% of the time… im going to sell some of my purged stuff at a 2nd hand market on the weekend. im really looking forward to it. that and the rest i will happily give it away to charity :) i much prefer to give things away for the benefit of others.

How I did it: just do it!!! plan your trip there... there are so many amazing art museums, culture, food, fashion to enjoy :)you can fly, train or drive there from fellow countries like belgium, italy and england... its a beautiful country... and lives up fully to its reputation as the city of love...! Read how I did it…
How I did it: i looked up travel agents... asked around...and bumped into some friends who were going as well and hooked up with them! Made a whole bunch of new friends too :) Read how I did it…
humbling experience.
no electricity, no running water. a school with no books.
it was hard to see the poverty. but beautiful to see the family who were the most wonderfully welcome, gentle people.
i will never forget the experience.
and i even know basic mandarin—cos i speak cantonese (thats my background)... but the last classes i took i nearly fell asleep! couldnt be bothered ‘trying’ to find my roots anymore… i’d rather hit the beach!!
