I don’t know if there is english lessons with Scottish accent lessons, that exists.
If possible, I would guess, : yess.
But one thing for getting accustomed, at least a little bit, to hear it cleary…:
Rent Scottish film dvds… play it..
if necessary, with english sub-titles if you have trouble to understand (that was my case, as I’m francophone.) and, play it again and again…try to repeat what the caracter is saying….
One good example (quite a task, maybe )could be Ken Loach (even if not a Scottish filmmaker actually ) ’s film: My name is Joe ( with Peter Mullan ) – action is taking place in Glasgow.
I aslo used to listen by the internet, to BBC Scotland.. – even if some announcers are actually speaking with english accent, others have the scottish one.

.. I could have choosed many titles that other people have already put , (when I made a research on this site with key word ‘morning’ ) to name their goals about this issue, or other very similard issues about morning.
Of course, as long as I work on the evening shift – as I do now, – I cannot ask myself to get up a 7 am.
(but I’d like to do so when I’m retired, 4 years from now.)
BUT: getting up a 9h00 , is a reasonable one.
and not taking too much time having a long breakfast and coffee, so I can have things started in the morning.
- I have to get rid of this bat habit of mine : keeping myself up and awake , long after getting back home, in night time. Either drinking beer or not.
((( alhouhgt I think It’s not bad to do it once in a while.
But I kept doing it for too long. It’s time for a change !**
While this is not net actually in process, still I try to maintain the level of english I’ve reached during the last years.
I’m reading some english books (scottish author Alexander Mc Call Smith )
I watch english film dvd’s (though I have to admit, sometimes with (english)subtitles to help me (television bbc series ’’mistresses’’ , Charlie Rose program at PBS sometimes, etc..
reading The Scots Magasine (yes, again, about Scotland ) etc…
sometimes with the pace and\or accent, it’s too hard for me for the moment, especially as, sometimes, I just want to enjoy myself without effort , do, depending on the film I watch ( Crazy Heart, Precious.. There will be blood’‘) I either put engligh sub-titles, or I simply put the dialogues in french and take a break.
- when It will be time, afther my flat tidying and decorating, in a few months from now, I will take it more seriously and will be giving myself english lessons. *
