How to go to a shooting range

How I did it: My friend Chris and I rode down to a shooting range outside Lockhart Texas.  The office was full of folks with heavy drawls and was decorated with rattlesnake skins.  Chris paid for my day pass and let me shoot his .40 caliber handgun (after some practice with the unloaded version first).  What a gentleman. Did this a couple weeks ago at Hippie Hollow outside of Austin. The place is just an awesome beach nekkid or not. I was really impressed. Only a few creeps with cameras but I’m not really the type to be creeped out.
