This is a work in progress for me. As I am learning a lot more about self-love and how I can own it I’m finding that being independent means alot more than just “financial” independence. Like, being independent of my boyfriend. Before I’d be emotionally disraught when he didn’t find the time for me but that’s because I wasn’t busy enjoying my own life. Now I’m reading more, exercising, focusing on being less stuck and being more accountable and it’s making me feel less like a victim and more like an owner of my destiny.

Today I paid off my Victoria’s secret card in full !! It feels so good!

So I’ve started on my journey to a healthier, less heavier me, and although I can’t say that I’ve gotten very far the fact that I’ve even started is a clear indication that this is something I want to do and trust me, I feel good when I make good choices so it’s all good-in-the-hood. I’m going to get there, taking it one day at a time. I like thinking of it like that, one day at a time. The biggest thing about losing weight is knowing that YOU are accountable for everything you put in your mouth and responsible for how much effort you put into it. If you want to own it, you must do it… literal food for thought.
