My grandmother was a war bride and I got to go visit England with them on the one of their trips. We stayed with my great aunt and I got to see the pub where my grandparents first met. Complete strangers let me in to see the house my grandmother grew up in and I got to experience some of my history. Even without personal ties, England is full of history and well worth the trip.
