I just want to go on tour cause then you travel with a lot of people that become like your family , so you get to live in hotels or a bus or whatever. See the world and yet not be lonely becaus of your “family”. I could be the one making coffee or fixing drinks for all I care.

2003: I 40 anni di Festivalbar

Festivalbar festeggia i quarant’anni e si regala un’estate di incredibili successi. Partenza per la prima volta da Milano e ancora a Pistoia, Lignano Sabbiadoro per chiudere con il tradizionale gran finale all’Arena di Verona. Un cast artistico davvero d’eccezione dove spiccano i grandi stranieri come Sting, Robbie Williams, Tom Jones, Ricky Martin, Mary J. Blige, Craig David, Ben Harper, Dido, Simply Red, Skin. Vincitore assoluto Eros Ramazzotti, premio Festivalbar International ai Tribalistas, premio radio a Neffa e premio rivelazione italiana a Le Vibrazioni. Nuova coppia di presentatori che ha subito riscosso un’enorme successo: Michelle Hunziker e Marco Maccarini. Grandi soddisfazioni per quanto concerne l’audience televisiva che mantiene una media share del 17%. Ottimo risultato di vendita delle compilation che, nonostante la crisi del mercato, hanno raggiunto oltre 500.000 copie (1.000.000 di cd!). Aumenta l’interesse delle televisioni internazionali: la CNN International realizza ben tre speciali sulla manifestazione andati in onda in tutto il mondo!

Well when I was living in verona a whole festivalbar passed me by. In october 2003 I was living in 5 to 10 minutes walking distence from the arena where the consert is held and I didn´t notice it. I was home alone the week before and had no internet and spoke very limited italian. And as I was to busy not talking to enyone cause in italy well, men shout after you in the street constantly , I just did not notice the many artist passing me by on the streets. What I missed out on was , Sting, Annie Lennox, Mary J.B., well if I start with the whole list I will cry so I won´´t. But I was sad for a long time having missed out on all the fun so close to my house and in this beutiful setting.
so one day I want to go there and see the festivalbar.
