“The greatest thing you will ever learn is simply to love, and be loved in return.” -Moulin Rouge
That’s all I can say on this topic. It’s so true… and it is only when this happened, at least for me, that everything else seemed to fall in line and come full circle.

Just wanted to state for the record that I officially gave up meat (for the second time) January 18th. Yay me! Yay everyone else!

Giving blood is one of the most effortless, most vital, and most rewarding ways to help others. I try to donate as often as humanly possible—it’s a bit less often for me than you might think or I might like, since I’ve had problems with my iron count being too low as of late. Fortunately, I was able to give last November and I’m scheduled to give again on the 31st.
To everyone who lists this as a goal: Always remember how important your contribution is! I’ve worked with children who have cancer, and they have to receive regular blood transfusions just to stay alive. I’d give anything to help them out. It bothers me that there are people who so easily could help them and choose not to for various reasons. Everything is subjective, I suppose… but maybe I’m a bit biased, working in a children’s hospital :)
Anyway, my point is: the need for blood is neverending, and everyone who wants to give and (even better) follows through regularly is awesome! Good luck, all ;)
