at a kick ass school! It was a long time coming but well worth the wait. I have a really good team and i’m going to learn to teach as well as practice most of the skills I’ve learned in library school.
i don’t care what anyone says about drinking bottled water..the water out of my faucet at home sucks. By spending more money on bottled water..i don’t waste it and drink more of it.
This is a converted firehouse which I just discovered. I really liked their food and the price is medium to high. They have 2 patios (Front and Back). Also, their bar is lovely. It’s a good place to have an intimate night with friends and family. Highly recommended. It’s in the Silverlake area.

my friend and I walk the beach…it’s a 6 mile walk and watching the sun rise is pretty amazing and an excellent way to start any Sunday morning

it’s kind of tough not knowing too many people but it’s well worth it.
I went to Yuu Yuu on Sawtelle in L.A. last night. It was so fun. They have private rooms so you can sing your heart out in front of your friends without feeling like you have to be talented, which tends to be karaoke out here in L.A. Someone sang a Poison song. Then I left after screaming out “Wonderwall” by Oasis.
I am a librarian but I decided to add archivist to my list of degrees..specifically moving image archivist. I love it and I love the people I have met at conferences and in my program. So a couple more years and it will be official.
I just bought the Blue Hawaii electra cruiser, it has internal gears and it’s beautiful. I am so glad I bought it. I’ve been biking all over Burbank and the LA river. I can’t wait to be a part of the midnight rides…
The Metro is pretty cool. I’ve taken it to the Staples Center, explored the train station (Union Station) and it’s pretty easy to take that to Hollywood & Highland.
my professor suggested that I watch the 100 films listed by the BFI and also read some of the books they publish on the individual films. So I’m working on this. Some of the films are not on Netflix but so far it’s only a small amount.
Hi, I just graduated from UCLA MLIS program about a week ago. It was a really challenging and worthwhile experience. If anyone has questions feel free to email me. I love our profession. The people who make up our field are diverse and interesting and most of the people I’ve met are enthusiastic and supportive when I told them I was becoming a librarian. And yes, you do study the Dewey Decimal system. Good luck to those who want to do it, are doing it and are done with it!
