get my associates degree
Untitled 5 months ago

I’m only a few classes away from obtaining my Associate’s degree. I’ve been putting it off so long, but I’m determined to get these basic courses out of the way so that I can begin pursuing my major and begin taking classes that I want to take.

live on my own

I love my parents to death, but I’m ready to live on my own. Staying with them and abiding by their rules has not been that difficult, but I can’t live with them forever. Everyone’s lives are going in different directions and it’s time for me to the start the chapter of my life on my own. I want them to be proud of me and know that they have raised me well and to feel confident that I can make it in this world. By the end of this year, I would like to move out, live on my own, and take care of myself independently.

get my driver's license
Untitled 5 months ago

My sister and I were involved in a weather related car accident where I was the passenger and she was the driver. Thank goodness we made it out of the accident alive. Since then, I have been terrified to get behind the wheel and learn how to drive. I have no problem with public transportation. During the week, it’s my main source of getting around. With gas prices constantly rising, having a bus/train pass is so much more convenient and cheaper. On the weekends though, when I want to go out and do things with my friends, my boyfriend, and my family, I’m usually getting a ride from them. I’m ready to be in the driver seat of my life. I’m tired of being the passenger. Not having a car is holding me back from so much. Hopefully, by the end of this year, I would like to conquer this fear and get my driver’s license!
