It’s one thing to have acquaintances and having a friendship. It’s all about quality NOT quantity, I think some people forget that. We need to start being REAL, straight forward, become listeners, treat each other fair, respect one another. A friendship is NOT a job. You take it or you leave it, but don’t lead people on. This goes for everyone , especially myself. Since I’m not so good at making friends, but I will make this a goal! I want at least ONE good/amazing/best/inspiring/helpful/life-changing friend and I know that it takes two to make this happen.
Last year I moved out of my mom’s house (my first time moving out). I have the best relationship with my mother. Seems like we now realize how much MORE we love each other and appreciate our friendship, now that we are not living under the same roof.
I moved out when I was 18 years old and struggled to pay rent because I was not working for 4 months (moved to SLC, UT which does not have lots of good job opportunities). Now, 20 years old and my life is so positive and I’m back on my feet. Moving on my own has taught me to become more mature and independent.
I encourage people to do their apartment/ city searching months in advance. I didn’t do that…I was in a hurry to move out.
