I love this weather! The walk around my huge campus is perfect—it has some hills, and so far I can make it twice around in 22 minutes during my lunch “half hour”. So if I shave off a couple of minutes, I’ll be able to do it three times! That would be a pace of about 3.5 miles per hour.
I’m still walking the dog for about a mile every day, although since the guy got shot the next block over, I don’t feel so great about it. Sometimes I just do half a mile.
The kids have DDR, and I’ve been doing that, as well as just cranking up the jams and dancing around the house. I am looking for more opportunites to be active. I also bought some 8 lb weights to work my arms with.

It is finally coming off. 15 pounds in less than a month. YES. It was a matter of breaking the eating/reading/lonely habit.

I am actually doing this. I suppose it is more manageable because the steps are so small. I think it has been about a week since I posted this goal, so time for a couple of more blocks…which when I walk them, really equals four, since I have to walk back….I’m trying not to obsess about time or miles right now, just walk that amount and enjoy it. Salsa (the dog) is really loving this. She wants me to run…
