It was a long time coming, but we finally became proud homeowners of a wonderful semi fixer-upper in Surrey. Leila, our unica hija, loves her new home. Still so much to unpack and discard and so much to fix and decorate, but we overall we are excited about this milestone in our lives. We miss my in-laws though, especially their company and cooking, but we continue to see them often so all’s good.
Darn, now I really have to learn how to cook!
Last year, I finally decided to join this group. So far, it’s been great especially since I am part of the envelope exchange this year. From the envelopes that I’ve gotten from my fellow calligraphers, I have been creatively inspired and I feel encourage to pursue this particular interest of mine.
And it’s such a great feeling to be together again with the ones you love. It was a great experience being away from home, but nothing compares with being with family close by.
