I am now locked in. I registered for the Philadelphia marathon on Nov 22. My goal will be to run it in 3 hrs and 15 minutes. If I manage that, then I can qualify to run in the Boston marathon. That would be my ultimate goal.

How I did it: I printed a list of frequently challenged and banned books from the Banned Books Week website. Of the 100 books listed, I have already read 14 of them. I can't believe Wind in the Willows was one of them. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I downloaded an album from Itunes and burned it on CD. Then I listened to it in the car. I had heard the name Bessie Smith but never listened to her. I can now put a voice to the name. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I hate to admit I had to look up the requirement for haiku. I couldn't remember how many syllables. Then during one of my breaks at work, I rattled it off. It was different from the haiku I remember reading in school, but it felt good to be able to do it. Read how I did it…

I wasn’t intending to start on this just yet, but this chorus just came to me today:
The oracle just left Delphi
And there is no wizard in Oz
No one has all the answers
And in spite of all our pleas …
There are just no guarentees
I first made this goal, what i thought about was getting rid of physical clutter. After a session with my therapist the other day, however, I realized that part of this will be getting rid of mental and emotional clutter. That reinforces the absolute necessity of this goal.
