It’s Thursday and I have gotten about one day worth of work done this whole week which is terrible. My husband was home sick from work and since I work at home, it’s hard to go on as usual. I was also really trying to get one full night of sleep but couldn’t. Finally I was able to sleep in yesterday, and now I need to be super on top of things and be a supercharged worker bee. I have this new business that is really distracting me from my client work because it’s so exciting. I have been making stationery, so far just Valentine-type cards, but I am obsessed with working on it. One of my favorite designers said that he finds it important to work on the hardest task of the day first thing in the morning and leave the easy stuff for the end of the day. I am with him on this. So, I will start by getting some files ready for final proof, then I will finalize the ad specs for this new catalogue I will be making next month, then return emails, then, if there is time at the end of the day, I will work on my stationery. So, that’s the plan, let’s hope it sticks!

First of all, it’s weird that people care most that I “get rid of everything I don’t neeed” and only two people felt like cheering for me to strengthen different parts of my body. In my case, strengthening my legs means more than sexy stems. It means that I will be putting less strain on my bad right knee and hopefully helping my hip problems as well. I am hoping that if I had really strong quads, my knee will stop clicking every time I walk upstairs or up hill, and that I will be able to enjoy the outdoors with my family more the next time I visit them in Alaska.
The thing is, it’s hard to strengthen my legs without my knee hurting sooo bad and making me wish I hadn’t exercise. But recently, my neighbors got an elipitcal trainer and put it in the common area of our house and said that I could use it. Soooo, I have been and it is SO GREAT! It gives you a cardio workout, works your legs AND is easy on the knees! I would recommend this to anyone else in my boat for sure. Also, of course the Yoga Booty Ballet is still in full effect, but I have to watch it on certain moves or I will feel it in my knee the next day.
