About four years ago, after using Linux on the Desktop almost exclusively for two years, I got tired of fighting the OS to get the most simple things to work. I couldn’t go back to Windows, because it just felt too limiting to me. So I decided to try a Mac. I bought an iBook (G3, 700MHz, 12”) with Mac OS X 10.2. It just worked. It did everything I wanted to without me having to fight against it. And I could still use most tools I was used to on Linux. I’ve been using Macs ever since.
