Before I started recovery I had forgotten what it was to have fun or to be happy. Recovery is hard, especially at first. Things got worse before they got better, but after a few months of recovery I was happier than I had been when I was still suffering from the eating disorder. And the further along I got in recovery the better life got. I’ve been healthy and behavior-free for four years now.
