another 10 or so miles this week

Now on mile 47, day 3 of the hobbits’ journey, not yet at Famer Maggot’s:

A deep-banked stream below the hill cuts across their path. Looking back, they see a Black Rider on the hillcrest where they had camped. They force through the bushes alongside the stream.

starting over

I started walking to Rivendell ages ago, but stopped for some reason. I think I just got behind adding up my distance. Got a new pedometer that uploads steps/distance/etc to the computer, so it’s doing the adding for me.

So starting again, as of 3/1/10. 20 days on, I’m 35 miles into it. On (or beside) the Stock Rd, just after hiding in the hollow from the Black Rider.
