I’m currently working on a cookbook of my great-grandmother’s recipes. It’s taking me forever! I’ve been at it, on and off – mostly off, for 3 years. I’m trying to get it done in the next month. My grandma found out her cancer is back and we’re not sure how much longer she has. I want it done before she dies so she can see it.

How I did it: Hubby and I found a travel deal that included airfare and lodging for a week in Ireland. We decided we couldn't pass up the price and booked the trip to take for our one-year anniversary. Read how I did it…
How I did it: First, I stopped drinking soda and then severely cut back on the processed foods. Started eating a HUGE salad every night before dinner. Work out a few times a week (I still hate doing this). Read how I did it…
How I did it: I've tried cutting out soda SO many times, but one day it just finally clicked with me and I didn't drink it. It wasn't easy. Drink lots of water! I drink tea now - without any additives - and I feel SO much better Read how I did it…

There are so many reasons for me to quit my job – my health (the stress is killing me), my marriage (working nights does nothing positive for our relationship), my sanity (I literally want to cry – or drink – whenever I come to work).
But the one reason I can’t – money – is almost stressing me out more. I’d be so much happier if I could quit. Yes, things would be hard, but I would be happy. Why can’t everyone else realize this?
Any tips or ideas out there to help a couple save? I’ve tried getting hubby to live off $50/week, but it only works for about a month. I need help! We only have one credit card with 5K on it, but we have lots of work to do to our house. And I hate seeing that CC statement every month – I used to pay off my cc before I got married, now everything has changed :(
