Now that I’m in graduate school and have a child…this issue took care of itself.



deal with my mail immediately instead of letting it pile up
Set up a mail bin by the door, shred/recycle junk mail daily

I can’t fill up the bin because its small, so I have to sort my mail daily. This has become a habit and is working out quite well.



find a way to finance my PhD
I quit my job, tightened my belt and found a graduate assistantship

I’m living on about half the income I’m use to, but between the money I make through the grad asstantship and student loans, I’m getting by. No trips, eating out and going out less, buying a whole lot less and just living as simply as possible. It isn’t forever…
