Used visual thesaurus to pick out words that I knew and them found their latinate version, e.g. motherly becomes maternal in its latinate form. I would then spend the week trying to slip it into conversation or just make up sentences to use it. I also bought a book of Big Words and studied it as well. I also made a point to incorporate these words into my school work, looking up the latinate synonyms of words that I was using in papers.

I would like to create a sketch journal, a picture diary that would expand on a typical day using visuals instead of words.I have bought some basic sketching pencils and I have some older sketch books that I can use to start practicing. I have downloaded a few books that look promising to help me learn how to sketch effectively. I hope this exercise will help me activate both sides of my brain. I believe this will help enhance my creativity as well as give me new insight into my internal processes.
