A lot of students think that they are only here for their own pleasure. This leads them to idolize the opposite sex and experiment with all kinds of detrimental drugs and alcohol.
By helping with youth group, you can help students see that they are here for a purpose. God designed them a certain way with special gifts and they just have to find the best time and place to use these to benefit others.
The joy you find in helping others is immeasurable. The rewards are not just for them.

Never having to mow the lawn? Think of all the energy and time saved by not having to mow. What did our forefathers do about their lawns? When did people start developing them, and why? It is nice to look at, but a little boring. How about some blue/purple grass? Yellow grass? Pink grass!
I think bioengineering of grass is a field that definitely could be explored. Shoot, if they can create all those mixed up fruits, why can’t they do this? In fact, I hope I inspired someone…

Did you every just know something?
Like when you met the one you love?
When you decided on a program in college?
When you decided you were ready for children?
Luckily, I’ve never really questioned who I was, just how I was going to live that out.
My family was very grounded, stable and focused. We moved, but because of progress. I think that had a lot to do with it. My parents are the ones that everyone else wished they had. I love them for giving us this.
So I am a combination of everything good from my parents: patient, kind and intelligent, etc… And a little from myself: creative, spontaneous and persistent.
OK, so I inherited some bad things, too, but those are genes and you can’t change them- short, for one.
Being raised in a committed family we had and have one reason for being here. To worship and praise the living God and prepare the saints. This is our heritage and our future.
