Fabulous read as always! this one is a gimme, hardly takes any time at all and is pure entertainment! i loved the ending!
Maybe it’s just being a grad student and having to read such dry material all the time…but I have a renewed adoration for children’s books…make that teen lit. this book was recommended by a friend and one of the best things i’ve read since le petit prince! loved it! Miyax the eskimo girl, roaming the tundra in search of place and person. Her deep and intimate friendship and family with the wolf pack led by Amarooq and her best friend Kapu. It’s a window into the havok and hurt that we’ve caused our wild creatures, how we’ve lost something along our way to modern industrial future and one of those is the sanctity of nature and life and the respect for all of these things. I love this book! The ending is so real it sent chills up my spine. Tournait doesn’t survive if he can’t be with his own kind…
