How I did it: I bought the Soldering Starter Mini Kit from the Nerd's NookIt comes with everything yo need to get started soldering as well as two easy projects. I jumped right into the easier of the two projects: the "VELLEMAN Sa MK102 Flashing Leds Project Kit". I have not started the second project, but I have already ordered new projects to work on.I had the project completed in less than 30 minutes and now I am hooked. How to own my own business

How I did it: I have always wanted to make my own tshirts. I finally figured out how to actually make them and thought it would be a great business. So I submitted the paperwork for a FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number - aka a business tax ID), and the paperwork to become incorporated in my state (actually an LLC for now then later incorporated if my business does well). I got the kit from Get Lo Fi. An awesome resource for information as well as kits.

I found their website and it has great step by step instructions with pictures. http://www.getlofi.com/?page_id=1565

It was a great class. The class and the kit only cost $5, and it was easy to put together, not sure how much it costs online.

I learned a lot putting it together and can’t wait to make more.
