but I don't want to buy a car...I just need to.

I’d rather walk or take the train or the bus or car pool or ride my bike….but in Cleveland Ohio you have to have a car. And I don’t want a car payment and I have to have a car payment. I love my broken in, sometimes broken down, always faithful old 95 subaru wagon (161,000) that I own outright. Please someone teach me how to love leasing or…or…I have had some wonderful moments…driving a mini cooper, taking the top down on a bug convertible, fantasizing about the Eos or righteous moments with the Prius, the civic and the stodgy old camry. I even looked at American again-the Escape runs good and looks good and the mileage was excellent….then (are there ANY accidents in this Universe?)I was cleaning the basement (Goal #1) and came across an old issue of The Sun—which of course I immediately sat down and read-and there was an interview with Jan Lundberg an amazing ANTI-Car activist in California who is working on planting gardens where streets are…and now I am duly chastised and ready for….what!????
