How I did it: I live in an apartment in the city, but you can't let that stop you. In our yard I made my own flowerbed by building a frame of plank and then filling it with soil. Right now I've got lettuce, ruccola, parsley, whitebeet, basil and a lot of lovely flowers like gladioli. Read how I did it…
Just bought a nice set of shelves for our bathroom, which I’m re-painting bright red right now. I love re-painting old furniture too, it can change a lot in a home though it’s really cheap. Also it’s easy and very meditative.
I just got into a small publishing house as a freelance editor, and it’s so much fun. But it’s not enough work nor very stable, so I’ll continue to try and get freelance jobs at other publishing houses to get some experience, and hopefully eventually someone will employ me so I can live off the thing I like doing the most.
