I’d been thinking about it for awhile but it was totally spontanious! I just thought we’d go check the place out but when we got there I just thought “Let’s do it!”. I’m so glad I did it!! It’s my own design. I didn’t want just anything. It’s to remind me that the past is gone and today is all that matters!

How I did it: It took about 6 months to get everything together. We had a small ceremony with close friends. We are young and short on funds so we did everything we could to make it beautiful but keep costs down. We found a great wedding ceremony package with a local marriage commissioner. I made my own bouquet and found a beautiful wedding dress on clearance at a bridal shop. Keeping it a casual ceremony helped to stretch our money as well. Read how I did it…
we got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2008. Right now we’re both kinda young and very broke…still living with my parents…we hope in 2 years we’ll be ready but who knows? we’re in no rush. we are simply enjoying every minute. a piece of paper is the least of our worries.
I get so restless and bored on the weekends. it’d be nice to do this except it can get expensive depending on what you do. mostly it’s the gas money. maybe every other weekend on paycheck day…lol!
