repair my credit
Turned down again... 4 years ago

Today I was turned down for a savings account at a bank—extra humilation points because I now work for said bank. I went through a bankruptsy a little more than a year ago, but for christ’s sake, it’s a freaking savings account!

For the first time in my life, I feel like I’m caught up with my bills and really striving towards being financial responsible, but I know I need to take certain steps toward repairing my credit.

First thing I need to do: get a copy of my current credit report. I know there’s at least one thing on there that shouldn’t be and I need to take care of that. That’s the goal this week—to be informed so I can move forward.

train my dogs off the bed
I'm reclaiming my bed! 4 years ago

After stripping the bedsheets off in the middle of the night after yet another all-you-can-eat grass buffet power pukefest, courtesy of my adorable dog, I’ve vowed to train my dogs to sleep elsewhere. So far I’m in week 2 and feeling great about it (though I occassionally still feel a bit guilty and miss snuggling with my little guys).

I have a cozy little area just by the head of my bed with two big pillows topped by smaller ones, blankets, etc. and I’m just telling them to get “off” the bed if they go up there (they are already obedience trained, otherwise this would have been harder). The are rewarded by getting petted and praised when they get on their beds at night. My older dog still sneaks up there, but it’s getting less frequent and he rarely does it when I’m in the bed.

Benefits so far include having a lot more room to move around at night, less hair on the bed and it’s much easier to get naked with my boyfriend without the distraction of kicking the dogs out of the bedroom (they now just go to their beds).

I’m in the process of building something a little higher and more comfy for them—more on the deluxe bed later.

B) Start shopping products to select local stores to gauge interest
C) Create initial website so I can…
