How I did it: saved up 5k, fed exed my stuff and found a couch. i grew up in the area but moving to ny as an adult with little outside support is scary. its very expensive, its hard to get an apartment even if you can pay, and its an INTENSE place. scary scary scary. that fear soon transformed to opportunity and living my dreams as work just began to flow and community showed up. i would never call any place home ever again.
