How I did it: I applied to over 100 jobs in the past 6 months and to be honest with you I was really getting sick of looking. Since I have a background in public health and conservation biology I applied to zoo, university, NGO, environmental, city, province, and federal positions. How I did it: I had my sister cut my hair in stages, which prepared me for the big chop. First she cut off about 4 inches of hair then a month later she cut off another inch. Mr. Wonderful surprised me with a trip to Chateau Lake Louise to celebrate our first year as husband and wife. It was breath-taking and I loved every minute of it!

On March 24th I cut off the remaining 3 inches of my relaxed hair. Now my hair is 100% natural hair and I love it!!! Even better, Mr. Wonderful absolutely adores my little teeny weeny afro. YIPPY!!
