clean my apartment
Here we go... 23 months ago

I don’t really know what happened to me. I quit caring, for the most part. I was in a funk. Normally, my mess is confined to my room, but when you no longer share a place, the whole thing is your playground. Or landfill, as the case may be.

On Wednesday I had this grand scheme to clean the whole day through. I tackled the living room first, and once everything was tidied and returned to its rightful home, I got the vacuum out. Almost the whole living room was swept when my fuse blew and every outlet in the apartment is now useless. Oh, and did I mention that my downstairs neighbor is on vacation (I rent the top floor of the house, the other tenant has the ground floor and basement) and HE is the one who can access the fuse box? So I’m helpless until he comes home. Needless to say, I lost all ambition and the rest of the place goes untouched.

As soon as I post this entry, “finding a new apartment” will be added as one of my Things. :)

go to church regularly

There’s a church just down the street from my apartment. I’ve been there a couple times, years ago, with a friend and his family. It’s beautiful inside, and there is at least one mass held every day. I am going to try and go either tomorrow or Tuesday morning.

Take control of my finances.
on my way... 23 months ago

I asked my boyfriend’s dad to show me how to get a handle on things. He is someone who has complete control over his money, and one of the most meticulous record keepers. He printed me off a few of the tracking sheets that he uses, and has given me many great tips to start off. He even gave me a monthly bill organizer for Christmas! I’ve made a binder of my own and started using the tracking sheets as of January – fresh year, fresh start! Wish me luck!
