I turned in my major proposal last week, and now all I have to do is wait for it to be approved by the department of Linguistics! :P Which it should be, no problem… and then only three more semesters, and I’ll have all the classes I need for my major to graduate. Excellent!! :D

and what with so many things I have to take in school, it’s getting harder to justify the time to learn things on my own just for fun. But I’m satisfied with my progress so far, and being able to translate what I can.
Next semester I’ll go for Latin 201, and get to study some poetry :D
the New Sun series (borrowed from the library, not my own copy). Somehow it was easier to go through than the Shadow & Claw though still plenty of twisting around with what’s going on and what it means or might mean.
Short and crude: Severian separates from Dorcas (his grandmother actually), leaves Thrax, and goes on to join the Pelerines and then to become a soldier before meeting the Autarch and “eating” him and all his memories and personalities. He is now the Autarch. He returns to Nessus and finds out he once traveled through time, and that the tomb from the very beginning he went to as a child was a tomb of his other alternate-self (before traveling through time?) And WTF was that part about the Claw??
Overall: Pretty awesome! <3 I feel like the story cut off kind of abruptly though. I guess there's a sequel.
