3 articles completed at www.helium.com 1 year ago
I’m on a roll. I like seeing my name beside a published article. I have 3 articles up and they’re placing fairly well. I want to work on them to see if I can be number one or two for all three.
  • Self-help books critiqued
  • Reaching the goals of your life

I also signed up at Associated Content and published an article: 17 Tips to Becoming a Hobby Diva

Following Through On My Self Challenge 1 year ago

First let me say that it’s Helium not “hellium”. That being said, let me pat myself on the back for posting 1 of 5 this morning before going out into the world.

I checked on my first article and it had moved up to #2 of 11 articles. I was very proud of myself. I remain happy with myself even after reading some not so complimentary things about Helium.

Writing the article helped me get over my fear of having my writing being judged not-perfect. It helped me admit some other things about my process as well. I’m a very slow writer. I rework every phase.

anyway, one down (or rather up) and four to go.

Walk my dog 3 days a week
daily - like writing 2 years ago

My dog’s name is M.A.G. (Magnificent Animal Girl). She insists that I walk her every morning before I have my coffee. I’d rather have my coffee first and then sit on the porch and read for an hour.

We’ve been walking almost daily for more than 3 months. We’ve done this walking thing before for shorter periods and it didn’t work for various reasons. This time though it’s the specificity that helps; first thing in the morning, 1 mile, a dedicated route, it’s all about her, exercise for me has nothing to do with it, if she stops to smell something for 10 minutes then I just stand there. She’s walking me. Enjoy & release the need to lead :-0
